Hong Kong SAR, China, 10 March 2023 – Lobby Lounge at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel proudly presents a new ‘Marvellous Mussels’ menu for guests to enjoy. Chef Jeff Lo selects the finest blue mussels from Australia and celebrates the delicious molluscs with four different cooking styles.
To best present the mussels’ fresh and natural ocean flavours, the Traditional style delivers a classic take on the bivalves, steaming them with white wine, cream, vegetables and herbs. Meanwhile, guests who like bold and spicy Southeast Asian flavours should opt for the Laksa style mussels cooked in an aromatic curry stock with coconut cream and kaffir lime leaves.
Another highlight is the Green Pesto style, which features mussels with a refreshing combination of mixed bell peppers, chives, pine nuts, basil and parmesan cheese. Also not to be missed is the signature Lobby Lounge style. Made according to Chef’s special recipe, the mussels are cooked with white wine, diced tomatoes, garlic, onion, chilli and fresh herbs for a rich and succulent taste. All four styles are served with fries and mayonnaise to accompany the mussels.
To make the feast even more enjoyable, Lobby Lounge’s restaurant manager recommends pairing the mussels with the crisp and lemony Martin Ray Chardonnay, which brings a fresh taste and vibrant acidity. The white wine is priced at $180 per glass or $880 per bottle.
The Marvellous Mussels menu is available daily from 4pm to 6pm from now until 31 March 2023. All four mussel styles are priced at $438 for 1/2kg and $568 for 1 kg.
