With Martelli Group, exquisite Italian charcuterie crosses the Atlantic

After its recent success at Sial Canada, the company will be presenting its Parma Ham PDO and all its latest new products at the prestigious Fancy Food show in New York from 25 to 27 June.

(Dosolo, Italy 31 May 2023) The Martelli Group, specialist processors of choice quality pork for four generations, is reinforcing its presence in North America and growing its success worldwide. In fact, it has already delighted Canadian palates with its Prosciutto di Parma PDO and other Italian charcuterie specialities during Sial Canada from 9 to 11 May this year. It is now planning to repeat this tour de force in the Big Apple, by exhibiting at Fancy Food in New York from 25 to 27 June.

The response we’re receiving, from our attendance at trade fairs and other channels, is truly amazing. We were very satisfied with the results achieved at Sial Canada and we’re now preparing to exhibit the entire range that has brought us worldwide fame and popularity in New York. The United States has already been a strategic market for our Group for years now. We even have a subsidiary, Martelli Bros, which guarantees almost weekly deliveries, ensuring the availability of our best products for the entire distribution network,” explains Nicola Martelli, from the fourth generation of the Martelli Group.

The star products at Fancy Food in New York will include not only the renowned Prosciutto di Parma PDO but also the entire Qui Ti Voglio premium line. Martelli Prosciutto di Parma PDO is made only from certified heavy pigs raised in accordance with Consortium regulations, skilfully salted and with no additives. Qui Ti Voglio is a Martelli Group exclusive, a complete range of cured and cooked charcuterie made from pigs raised without antibiotics right from birth, for the highest degree of food safety. This can only be achieved by giving animals the right environment with plenty of stimuli, to reduce stress and improve their quality of life.

At Fancy Food in New York,” concludes Nicola Martelli, “we’ll be exhibiting a variety of products for a number of reasons. Firstly, the United States market is of central importance for our company. What’s more, Prosciutto di Parma PDO is an outstanding product and is enjoying constant growth in demand, even in the longest-cured versions. Then, alongside this consolidated trend, we’re also seeing an impressive level of interest in other quality products, like our premium-segment cooked ham in the Qui Ti Voglio line. The first step is always to ensure that a product is correctly presented, after which consumers are ready to appreciate it. Another fundamental point for smooth expansion of the business is the after-sales service, which we also provide on the US market, offering all channels precise, on-time, “tailor-made” service. The combination of these factors is bringing us substantial growth across the Atlantic as in the rest of the world.”
